Free Motion Quilting Workshop with Amy
Tired of “stitching in the ditch”? Try “free motion” quilting! In this hands on workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of this method of quilting including getting your sewing machine “free motion” ready, tension adjustments (both in your machine and your body!), threads and some basic designs to set you on your road to freedom in the quilting world. Class fee $20

Needle Turn Hand Applique Workshop with Amy
Hand needle work has made a big comeback over the last years and hand applique is very popular. Learn this relaxing technique using the freezer paper method. No pressing or starching, therefore no burnt fingers! Learn to make perfect circles, narrow stems, pointy points and more, so you will be ready to start a project of your own choice. Class fee $20

Foundation Piecing Workshop with Amy
The foundation method of piecing, also known as paper piecing, enables you to sew very accurate patchwork easily. Your flying geese will always fly in a straight line instead of veering off to the south! It’s as easy as following the lines on the paper. Students in this workshop will learn about the “ tools of the trade”, enabling you to start your own project. Class fee $20

Beginner's Disappearing 9 Patch with Colleen
This versatile and fun quilt starts with 9-patch blocks and goes from there! It can be a planned colour scheme or random. And is a great quilt for showcasing a larger print! This is a terrific beginner's project or a quick gift quilt. Learn rotary cutting basics, accurate 1/4" seaming, quilt top construction (quilt will have a stop border and outer border) and finishing. Class fee $80

Beginning Sampler Class with Myrna
Have you always wanted to make a quilt but didn’t know where to start? Learn some basic (machine) piecing techniques that will enable you to identify and make dozens of different quilt squares. Rotary cutting and quick strip piecing techniques for at least 12 different 12” squares will be taught, as well as how to assemble the quilt top, how to layer it, quilt it and bind it. Can you sew a ¼” seam? (Even if you can’t you’ll learn that too!) The first class will cover supplies & equipment needed, amount of fabric to buy, colour selection & fabric preparation. Please bring sewing machine, manual, cord & feet to the first class. Previous rotary cutting and sewing experience, while not mandatory for this class, would be an asset! Class fee $130 (includes a book - The Beginning Sampler)

This fun quilt uses fat quarters. It is a great quilt for showcasing that fat quarter collection that you can't quite figure out how to put together!
