Sample Stitchery (Embroidery) - 1 session ~ Now is the perfect time to learn the relaxing art of Redwork or primitive stitchery.  Learn, practice and perfect the basic stitches so you can start on the project of your choice - and work on it and others while waiting at appointments, ferries, sports, etc.  See the store samples for ideas.  Class fee $25.  (beginner)

 

Beginner’s Four Patch – 4 sessions ~ A great class for beginning quilters. Learn techniques for accurate rotary cutting & 1/4" seaming, strip piecing, layering, stitch-in-the-ditch quilting and binding ~ all while constructing a lap size quilt! Class fee $65. 

 

Stitching with Acrylics and crayons - 1 session ~ Enhance your stitchery using acrylic paints or crayons.  you will learn how while stitching a 'Jack Frost' snowman sample.  A fun project for you to keep or give as a gift.  Class fee $20. (Students should know the basic back stitch.)

 

The Beginning Sampler – 6 sessions ~ A comprehensive beginning quilter’s class. Rotary cutting, strip piecing, quick corners, flying geese and half & quarter square triangle techniques will all be covered as well as sashings, borders, layering, quilting and binding your quilt top. Rotary cutting/piecing experience would be an asset for this class. Class fee $130 which includes ‘The Beginning Sampler’ book.  (confident beginner)

 

Hand Quilting - 1 session ~ Discover the gentle art of fine hand quilting.  You will learn how to choose your design, mark you quilt top, choose the correct battiing and which notions to use.  Perfect you hand quilting stitch - the 'ins and outs'.  this class will give you the confidence and skill to complete those treasured projects.  Class fee $25.  (beginner)

Basic Machine Quilting – 1 session ~ A hands-on class dedicated just to basic machine quilting techniques ~ stitch in the ditch, grid, and yes even some free motion stippling & meander! (Get over your fear of dropping those feed dogs!) If time permits, there will be a discussion of different methods of marking quilt tops as well. Class fee $20. (beginner)
